The World Health Organisation has reported that physical inactivity is the fourth leading risk factor for global mortality. Governments are therefore investing significantly in public health and encouraging individuals to lead healthier, active lifestyles. As a result, there is increasing demand for community-based practitioners with the skills and knowledge to enhance and sustain the physical and psychological health and wellbeing of individuals in all areas of the community.

BSc (Hons) Physical Activity and Community Health at UWE Bristol offers a vocational route to a career in this dynamic and exciting field. You will be taught by inspiring, well-connected experts and have access to world-class facilities including the UWE Bristol Centre for Sport. Endorsed by SkillsActive, the course provides entry to the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and combines teaching in anatomy and physiology, exercise prescription, psychology and public health. With fully integrated work-based training, you will graduate with the knowledge and professional skills that could make a difference to the health and wellbeing of the nation.
